Persons with HIV infection were clueless when they get infected with it. Most of the HIV positive victims,] it may take many years from the time someone is infected with HIV to the time it may develop to AIDS. It should be noted also that there is a significant period of time after getting infected when an HIV-positive individual will have no symptoms at all for over a decade.  Most of the HIV-positive people often mistook it as flu for it has similar symptoms.  This may also signal the acute stages of HIV Some of the primary HIV symptoms include, fever, headache, tiredness, nausea, diarrhia, swollen glands, rash on the body or face. These symptoms usually disappear in a week or to a month.

HIV(AIDS)] may remain undetected for a number of years until the body’s immune system weakens..Our body has CD4 cells also called T4 cells, they are the main disease fighters of our body. When HIV infects a person it attaches itself to the white blood cell also known as CD4 or T4 cells. Whenever there is an infection T4 cells lead the infection fighting army of the  body. When T4 cells are damaged it could also affect our body’s disease-fighting capability and general health. Thus, HIV education is important in preventing and protecting ourselves.

After incapacitating our immune system,HIV will then inject its Ribonucliec Acid or RNA into the cell. The RNA then attaches itself into a person’s DNA  or Deoxyribonucleic acid, making it part of the cell’s genetic material. The virus can now replicate itself and churns out hundreds of thousands of it’s own kind by using the cell’s division mechanism.  vulnerable] to infections. As the HIV [continually These infections  are called Opportunistic Infections. While a person’s immune system is low infections will swarm the body taking on the opportunity as the body is helpless in fighting against the infections. When these diseases appear, it signifies the start of HIV symptoms  progressing and developing into the AIDS stage. Reaching the AIDS stage varies from person to person. Some reach this stage in five years while others remain disease free for over a decade. Oftentimes, when the number of CD4 has fallen to a low level or if the amount of the virus in a person’s blood is very high your specialist will advice you to start taking drug treatment. There is no cure for HIV infection but treatment with anti-HIV medicines dramatically slows down the progress of  the disease into HIV (AIDS).
