When you relax your body has a chance to get ride of toxins and bring its blood pressure down.  They can however be a little expensive and given the current economy, treating yourself to a spa treatment at the local health spa may not be an option.  You don’t have to miss out though. You can recreate a mini spa experience in your very own home for next to nothing. Here’s how -

Ambiance. In order to fully relax, it’s vital that you get the mood right. Turns any bright lights of and illuminate the room using a few candles. Smell is one of our key senses and by lighting some incense or using fragranced candles, it can really help to calm the soul.

Wash. The first action to take when starting a spa treatment is to wash the skin well. This removes dust and dirt and gets rid of the top layer of skin cells. You don’t need to be too rough or exfoliate too thoroughly. Just wipe over all over the skin using a soft cloth and some clean water.

Facial. You don’t have to always fork out lots of money for an extensive skin care facial. Ingredients that can be found around the house can be just as suitable as branded products. Mix some egg white and honey into some olive oil and apply to the face like you would a mask. The white from eggs will tone the skin can condition at the same time, olive oil locks in moisture and honey has been used as an antiseptic for centuries. Wash off after around 15 minutes and you’ll be amazed at the results
